Spectacular Aurorae Erupt Over Norway
Over the weekend, the Earth’s magnetic field was struck by a coronal mass ejection (CME). The CME — a vast bubble of solar plasma that had erupted from the sun on Jan. 19 — took longer than expected to travel through interplanetary space, but on Sunday it made contact.

I was walking past this (what looked like an abandoned) house on my way to get coffee when I noticed these paper cut outs in the window. I figure the house isn’t abandoned because the air conditioner was running, but I’m almost okay knowing nothing else about these shapes.
